Here is a great book to read

‘Second To None’: A Portrait of The Light Infantry 1968-2007
The long awaited LI Book “Second to None” is here.

On 1st February 2007 The Light Infantry merged into The Rifles. Now that the new regiment has established itself and forged its identity on operations it is timely to celebrate the unique contribution made to the Army by The Light Infantry over the last 40 years.

Edited by Colonel Mark Goldsack, Second To None: A Portrait of The Light Infantry 1968-2007 is a richly illustrated hardback celebrating the Regiment, its traditions and its exploits.

All profits from the sale of the book will go to the Light Inantry Regimental Charity provided it is bought from an official Light Infantry source (on line here or from the former LI Offices in Bodmin, Durham, Pontefract, Shrewsbury and Taunton). Sales from other commercial sites do not accrue the same benefit to the charity.

Among its aims the Light Infantry Regimental Charity supports:

The continuation of the LI Reunion weekend.
The maintenance of the new LI Memorial at the National Arboretum.
Rifles Casualties through the Rifles Regimental Trust.
This The Light Infantry website.
